A user journey diagram and its accompanying notes show how a user might move through a transmedia narrative. Time is mapped on the horizontal axis and the media channel or platform is on the vertical axis. The diagram provides a clear picture of the dependencies and bridges between each component of the transmedia narrative and highlights potential issues with points of entry, calls-to-action, and exits from the narrative (Hayes G. P., 2011, p. 8). The text in each box on the diagram should be used to reference a more detailed description of each component in a Preliminary Call-to-Action Plan section (see next post).
